New Homes Garden Awards

The winners of this year’s New Homes Garden Awards have been announced.
‘Garden of the year’ has been awarded to Modular Garden for a contemporary, low-maintenance garden in Wimbledon, London. The garden also won a gold award in the ‘Best superior new home garden’ category. The design’s objective was to create a feeling of uncluttered space and provide year-round opportunity for entertaining.

Judges were impressed by its ‘exacting execution and planting’.

Modular Garden was also declared ‘Garden designer of the year’ winning ‘Best roof terrace’ for a garden at The Guildhouse in London, and a gold award in the ‘Best garden new home under £500,000’ category. According to the judges ‘Modular Garden has demonstrated a consistently high standard of design, creativity and innovation across a variety of projects’.

Previous Society of Garden Designers chair Andrew Fisher Tomlin also secured a gold award in the ‘Best superior new home garden’ category for a garden in Twickenham, London, and a gold award for a project in the ‘Best garden renovation project’ group. Other award winners included Catherine Thomas, who also won a gold in the ‘Best garden new home under £500,000’ group.
